What's your Soul Story?

Amaia found her love for dancing on bikes that go nowhere in a dark room at SoulCycle eight years ago near her hometown in Bethesda, MD. A natural born sports nut, (no seriously, she was cheering on her dad at marathons at just a few weeks old), there’s nothing more exciting to her than celebrating your wins and motivating you to break past what you thought was possible. It has been a winding road to the podium, where her journey has taken her from being a rider, to moving to NYC where she got her MFA in Acting from NYU’s Graduate Acting Program, to acting on TV and Broadway, and now landing her back to SoulCycle where she is leading the pack in NYC. No matter where her journey has taken her, SoulCycle has always felt like a homecoming to community, her body, and her spirit. With an “every body belongs on the bike” approach to coaching, you can expect to rage, sweat and DANCE-and probably be asked to imagine yourself doing things like auditioning to be Beyonce’s back up dancer at Coachella while pushing against resistance. There’s always space for you to come home to yourself in her class and tap into the inner athlete that’s waiting to break free.
